The Family law is the same across all States in Australia, which means you don’t need to visit a lawyer’s office to finalise your agreement.

Communicate directly with your lawyer by phone, video, or email at a time that suits you. From there, your family lawyer handles the rest.

You save time, avoid stress, and still receive the same high-quality service, all at a fixed fee.

Consent Orders or Financial Agreements?

Consent Orders
  • Reviewed by a Registrar at the Court within 4 to 6 weeks.

  • Your agreement must be just and equitable according to the Family Law Act.

  • Less expensive overall. Neither you or your ex-partner are required to have a lawyer.

  • Very limited grounds to have the final Orders set aside.

Financial Agreements
  • Not sent to the Court to be reviewed by a Registrar.

  • You and your ex-partner must obtain independent legal advice.

  • More effective to extinguish future claims for maintenance.

  • More likely to be challenged in Court if not prepared correctly or circumstances change.

Both are valid ways to formalise your agreement about dividing assets, superannuation, and/or maintenance. Each has its place — but many people choose a Financial Agreement because of the flexibility and protection it offers.

Why Fixed Fees?

When it comes to family law, the last thing you need is uncertainty about costs. Traditional hourly billing can quickly become unpredictable, leaving you with a bigger bill than expected
  • Certainty – know exactly what you’ll pay from the start

  • Transparency – no unexpected extras or hourly surprises

  • Control – clear quotes tailored to your needs

  • Peace of mind – focus on resolving your matter, not worrying about costs

With fixed fees, you’ll know the cost upfront before any work begins. No hidden charges. No surprises. Just clear, transparent pricing so you can plan with confidence.
